Border encounters will be less than half this coming year than 2024. Thanks to be Mexico and the US.

He hasn’t fooled anyone. He hasn’t accomplished anything. You’re giving him Kudos for twitter messages.
He made similar twitter messages in 2016 referencing his discussions with the then Mexican leader…. Who he said agreed to pay for a certain wall… right up until that Mexican leader told him to go jump off a cliff, that under no circumstance would Mexico pay for that project…. And they didn’t.

Still doubting me and predicting a tariff war between the US and Mexico I see. This is proceeding exactly as I predicted. You tariff alarmist can relax Mexico will secure its southern border The huge migrant caravans crossing Mexico to the US will stop The number of migrants coming through Mexico reaching the US border will be dramatically reduced The US, Mexico and Canada will reach an agreement designed at dealing to the fentanyl crisis Mexico will continue to publicly release mixed messages in the meantime to appease the drug cartels This is indeed predicable The price of tomatoes is safe I’m having a hard time believing posters still can’t see the outcome here and continue to panic about our soon to be wrecked economy due to a trade war with Mexico and Canada
Now China is a wildcard No clue what will happen there Pretty sure we don’t import tomatoes from China though

The caravans will be stopped, but the proceeding caravans will fracture into a million separate groups. The migrant problem may slow down, but in no way will it be drastically reduced imo.
But this does nothing to reduce the fentanyl, nor will anything Mexico can do, or is willing to do. The money running behind it is too great to stop the corruption and trail of deaths that will happen if they do anything to impede it. Canada might do something to impede the quantity of fentanyl (in significant amounts) coming across their border, but I seriously doubt that the main problem is the Canadian border. And even Canada will not come close to stopping the majority of the flow. Most of the supply that slows down thru Canada will likely be rerouted thru Mexico. My bet is that around 5-7% less will be coming across our border if they are lucky. That is a drop in the bucket. It won't come close to stopping the fentanyl problem.
This is just lip service to appease Trump, nothing else.
I’ll stand by my prediction of border crossings dropping by more than half in 2025 from where they were in 2023 and 2024. We can revisit in 6 months to see whose prediction was closer to the actual number
He will achieve a significant accomplishment in slowing Mexican and Latin American immigrants, that's not a drastic reduction. Significant reduction 20-50%,(In the words of Radar,(f/ Mash) 50% is highly significant) drastic reduction 60-80%. Defining my parameters here.
His achievements in slowing fentanyl will be negligible. Slowing it down 5-8% isn't a significant accomplishment in my books.
