This is sickening. What is wrong with our kids and culture?
Given their comments below, both coaches should be banned from ever coaching in the NCAA again. The schools should be suspended for 4 years and the most egregious of the players should not be allowed to play college football again.
This cannot be allowed or college football is no better than the NFL - a sad comparison.
"I'm not going to comment a lot about it," Tulsa coach Philip Montgomery said after the game, according to the Tulsa World. "The one thing I'll say is our program, our guys, we're a team that is going to stand up for each other and we're going to battle... our guys are going to continue to protect each other and we'll go from there."
Mississippi State coach Mike Leach said "this is a football game so we're not going to be tearing cloth over this deal. Somebody went to a football game and somebody got hit. There's a point where I'm not going to lose my mind over it."
It’s not surprising the players acted like this with the leaders having that opinion. S*** rolls downhill.
