They are tearing down the old Convention Center Arena (yes, it still exists).
In a perfect world, TU would do a tribute at halftime of the Temple Game and offer 40 cent beer with a three beer limit total per customer as a way of saying thank you and boosting attendance.
The bond issue that authorized the construction of the convention center capped the price of beer at 40 cents a melting wax paper cup.
When you look at who has played there and some of the political events held there, I’m surprised they can tear it down. It should have national landmark status.
