SMU game moved to February 3 while the USF game postponed

How is it that they can predict 8 or so days from now, that USF won't be out of this quarantine that they seem to have been in since before January 14? Wow, weirdness.
The question I have is what is the protocol? If they have to pause for 14 days then the last day of the pause would be February 3. They would need a couple of days to get back to training that would make sense on why they moved our game and the SMU game for USF

It looks as if the pause started between Jan 9(ECU/played) & 14th(Houston)link. Just taking the average day of Jan 12th, and including a 14 day delay,(Which may not always be there policy.) That would put it at the 26th at the latest.

I would still like to know what the protocol is
I can't actually help you there except to say I 'think' I saw somewhere that they had it down to nine or ten days in certain instances. Depending if it was simply through secondary contact tracing and/or if they did negative testing for so many days in a row. I believe there was a narrowing down of the risk period in certain instances. But I didn't get any details from what I read. I can't even remember if it was related to general testing procedures or was even tied to the quarantine for NCAA either. If I remembered enough about where I read this, I'd look it up. But I have no clue where I read this. It might have been tied to pro testing in one sport or another. (NBA/NFL) It was about 4 or6 weeks ago and that's all I can remember.

So now that I've made you even more confused, you can thank me.

Thanks for all of that. A lot of places have been cutting down the amount of days. Your right there is much we don’t know. The thing I am curious about is the indefinitely portion of the most recent pause. Just so much confusion these days.

This is po'ing me. It kept linking to a general article about it related to the cdc, not the ncaa. If you looked at it and saw that general article, I have corrected it to link to the article I intended now. It specifically talks about pro and NCAA, in the article it is now linked to.

This sucks for us because we are playing like crap right now and there is little opportunity to work out of it.

Maybe USF should be kicked out for the remainder of the season.
I don't see how they are going to make up that many games. They are going to have a piss poor resume of games played to enter the tourney if it happens. They could play into a better seed than they deserve with the # of games they will have on their resume. They missed what 6 games so far, and only have one rescheduled. Five games is already to much to reschedule, and a huge chunk of conference games.
