2014-15 - 28 min per game, 8 ppg
2015-16 - 18 min per game, 4 ppg

Rashad has not gotten much playing time and has not scored in double digits once this year. He needs to get going, but playing only 18 minutes a game is not giving him a chance to. He's a key to our success imo

That's true. Ray is averaging the same minutes with 1 less ppg. Needless to say, both Rashad's need to pick it up

In my opinion, he's the one that's been hurt the most by the 4out-1in system. He's being asked to play as a 4th guard, but he's not a guard. Shooting percentages have been fine so far, but he's taking less than 4 shots per game and he's got the highest turnover rate on the team. I'd really like to see what he could do as the 5 in a true 4-guard system.

Rashad is not a 5. He's a 3 and he has been since his Freshman year, the problem this year is, he just isn't getting any plays drawn up for him. They're all being run for Shaq, Juice, Dre, or Birt. That leaves a guy like Smitty little opportunity when he gets the ball late in the shotclock when a play breaks down. His 3 point stroke has actually been much more reliable this year. I'd like to see him get a couple more designed 3 point looks similar to the ones Woodard gets every game.

Yeah, I don't think designing looks for a career 30% shooter is the cure for our offense.

I never said it would be a cure for the offense. It would just take pressure off of James and Shaq, and add an extra look for opponents to have to game plan for. If you run a couple of plays for Smith and he doesn't make them, it's not really the end of the world. You don't have to keep running them. If you run them and he ends up making something happen... then you have a slightly improved offense.
