shame on the city of tulsa....

I'm sure you will cut off your donations to TU.

Waiting on Zit's response. He's not enough of a man to support his school. Just shows up here and spews hate. It's pathetic.

'O che sciagura d'essere senza coglioni!

I was there but there weren't a whole lot of others. Even the season ticket holders in front of us who are almost always there unless the weather is bad, weren't. Neither were the students. Not sure if the start time and lack of name opponent were factors but this is getting ridiculous. If I were a recruit and saw that it would certainly play a factor in my decision.

Don't lose to Arkansas Body and Fender, then to a rival that plays in the same town.

More importantly, I will say this over and over again. Attendance at BBALL and FBALL would improve with a sustained commitment to those programs. Once you have a tremendous staff in place and the correct fit, PAY THEM TO STAY!! GIVE THEM THE TOOLS AND KEEP THEM HAPPY. The average joe will come and the seats will eventually fill up as the winning begins and the investors see that the coaches aren't jumping the next train out of town.

The game day atmosphere and marketing funds will be there to sustain interest, on a go forward basis.

Let Frank get his players in here. The recruiting on paper looks very solid. Like we've said numerous times...this isn't the most basketball talented team there is..but we can adjust to make it work.

This staff is far and away the most paid staff ever - not to mention the millions recently spent on the locker room renovation. The issues with attendance have nothing to do with coaches salaries.
Attendance is down across the nation. Cable makes it too easy to stay at home. Historically, Tulsa has never supported in numbers except when Nolan got here or when TU played a top team at the fairgrounds.

Small matter, but we played downtown when Nolan was here.

The Reynolds Center as a damn fine basketball arena with outstanding locker rooms and the staff is paid very well.
We need a top 25 ranking and some NCAA banners... Preferably with a number on them... Like 16, 8, Four...

Stop scheduling and losing to middling local teams. ORU will now officially be a bad home loss after a 23 point rout in Norman. Surprise, surprise.
Folks will not show up (and did not for Iona) to see the second best team in town.

We could at least wait until they lose to someone like IPFW to make that statement. OU's been arguably the best team in the country so far. Coincidentally, Lloyd Noble was half empty today. Seems like there's just fewer people in the state that want to spend their time and money on college basketball these days.

If OU can't get a big crowd with a great team and playing a state school that should be able to make the drive, then it more than understandable that we can't fill up the Don Rey. Too many activities, events and televised games.

Didn't show up to see us beat the #9 team either. And would you be shocked if we lost by 23 in norman right now? Better call Villanova a bad team too. They lost by 23 to OU at home.

OU has a great team and I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the final four. Great perimeter players. Except for Spangler, they might have to hit their 3's (which they can do) against teams with elite bigs. Very talented and well coached.

I said a sustained commitment. I also said the right fit for coach. I did not say frank or Monty and I did not say we were scrimping on bball salary. Read what I said and don't draw unnecessary and incorrect interpretation. Coaches need to be compensated at a level we aspire to attain in our own conf. Currently we are nowhere close on that front (fb) with the coaches in our conf that recently turned down P5 jobs. When the times comes for Monty or any of our future coaches we need to retain to sustain success. That type of commitment will draw more fans and retain them. That's all I'm saying. It would also be nice if we ever have a malzahn type coordinator that we can retain them too. Surely you get the idea of what I'm attempting to convey. IMHO
