TU highlights -

65% FG
64% 3pt FG

Final score, TU wins 92-62.
They show up every single day, prepared, tenacious and focused, and do what they're supposed to do. When I think of what TU sports are at their best, it's that. You can be realistic about the talent level at this point but I don't think you can doubt that these young women are what we think of as the best of TU athletics. All true TU fans should get behind them.

I told my son about the 10 and 0 start of the TU women's team. He said wait until they play UConn. I told him UConn left the conference. A few years ago TU only lost to UConn by 40 points. I made sure to always go to the women's game when UConn was in town. They were like watching the New York Yankees.

UConn isn’t the same UConn from a couple years ago. They are a good draw

Well when you lose the preseason player of the year, it tends to hurt your productivity. Once they learn to play without Page Brueckers they'll be fine...and when she comes back, they'll probably be better for it since they'll have to develop some other go to players while she's out.

In response to Pablo....UCONN is a different level because Auriemma is not a normal coach. Sure he has the best collection of talent almost every year...but he coaches differently than other coaches. In games he know will be lopsided...he is not coaching his team to beat the other team. He is coaching them to approach perfection. Case in point, a few years ago in the 3Q against TU, UCONN is up by 35. TU comes down and hits a 3. UCONN PG is bringing the ball up the court and she loses her court awareness and gets trapped at half court and turns the ball over. Geno immediately calls timeout and starts lighting into the entire team about losing focus (I could hear every word as I try to site in the courtside seats for women's games.) He wants his team to play like every possession is life or death whether they're up 30 or just 3. This is why you rarely see UCONN lose games to bad teams (under normal circumstances, full strength personnel wise, etc.).

One of their players is from a local school so I follow them in passing. In addition to the POY being injured, they have the consensus #1 recruit from last year's class who's also injured. Their emergency fill in is a McDonald's All American freshman. First world problems.

Best of all they have a player named Dorka. Haha, Dork-a.
