Am I a little early to start this? Well I have waited a long time to see a game in person even if it is an exhibition. A couple of tidbits to get you started below:

  • KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- For the second consecutive year, Northeastern State is picked to finish in 13th out of 14 possible teams according to the MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll released Tuesday.
    Date: October 12, 2021 Category: Men's Basketball

    RIVERHAWKS ADD TRANSFER EMEKA OBUKWELU
TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State men's basketball will add University of Arkansas transfer Emeka Obukwelu to its 2021-22 roster, head coach Ja Havens announced Monday.

Looking forward to seeing our guys but I dread these regional games
Haith always seems not to care and to treat them as tryouts
Hoping for a good show tomorrow

I’ve travelled to South Bend, Memphis, and many state and regional away football games but I am still primarily a basketball fan due to Nolan etc.

Ah, NEOSU. TU used to bowl them (both men’s and women’s teams) in our bowling ‘conference’ in the 1970s, along with OSU, East Central, and eventually ORU.

I will be there - I need to see something positive after what I’ve seen so far with football. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised based on a few reports of how the new comers have played in scrimmages.

Who will start? I'm going with: (These are not my picks but what I expect)

Horne
Griffin
Idowu
KES
Haywood.......yes I said that but it is not my choice.. It is Haith's.

My starting lineup:

Horne
Griffin
Idowu
Dalger
KES

* Jackson should start but wants to come off the bench with similar minutes...........

Band is here. Bruce is on air. About 750 people with 9 minutes before game. Rare mask.

They are advertising “ kickoff”. Maybe I came to wrong sport?

Starters

Horne
Griffin
KES
Earley
Haywood

Earley with great early moves. All 6 points.

Griffin all nerves. Idowu ‘s moves not as good as Earley’s. KES is playing some point but very uncomfortable there.

Haywood playing well as he is not shooting outside.

19-10. 9:02. Dalger a three. I like his game. Big block too.

Getting ragged. NE missing wide open shots.

I know most are in agreement, but I’m giving Haywood and KES 5 to 10 games to see improvement or moving on to others that can score, last year was lots of pt for those two with very little results, need guys that can make their own shots and then knock them down- again that’s me and not Haith- perhaps too loyal?

Griffin is taking over the game now. His first half nerves are gone.
Love griffins game glad to see the nerves gone. Was not able to watch but if you have the ability can you give a recap and share some opinions? How were the young guards as well

Pritchard is the only Freshman who looks like will get quality time this year. Griffin and Horne clearly the best players at this juncture . Hard to judge much against a tiny team like NE.

Pritchard took a weird looking 3. Is that his usual shooting motion?

No he has a decent shot. Just a lot of nerves for several players tonight, especially the new ones. Only Horne and Jackson who have played here over 10 years it seems together did not seem nervous.

NSU was so lacking in talent, it was difficult to distinguish any positives from this game.
