Recruiting Notebook: TU looking for final pieces; updates on Bean, Johnson & more

After a successful weekend that included three new commitments, Tulsa football still has a few spots open in the 2016 recruiting class. The Hurricane is still eyeing a handful of prospects and will likely have another round of visitors on January 29.

Is that all the time we have for visits ? Or can we have them in up to the signing day?

If, so will we see any this weekend... it will be good weather for a visit.

We will have visits this weekend. Then a dead period starts Sunday- signing day

Kyle is correct...this weekend is last weekend for official visits before signing day. The signing period runs until April 1, and technically, any kids that don't sign on National Signing Day could visit later. Doesn't happen often...but it's happened before.

@Chris Harmon could you check around to see if we are looking for CB's. They should check out Jared Shirley 6'2 185 4.5, Prince Robinson 5'11 175 4.37 and Antonio Franklin 6'1 165 4.48. check out safety Joseph Tyrone Pickney 6'1 175 4.3

At the moment, there are no new CB's on the radar. TU is offering several in the 2017 and 2018 classes already.

Great. They getting an early start on a need. CBs are now as valuable as QB and teams need at least three to put up a good defense.
