Dane went 19/27......240 yds.........0/0.

I reviewed the game from my DVR but recording stopped at 10 minutes left in 4th. Here's what happened on each of Dane's dropbacks...

1. 2.53s snap to throw. Slant to Garrett, INC. No pressure. Good pocket.
2. 4.11s. Curl to Garrett. No pressure. Perfect Pocket.
3. 2.1s. Hitch to Garrett. Quick designed hitch. No pressure.
4. 3.1s. No one open. Good pocket. Scrambled for 1st down.
5. 2.96s. Curl to Floyd. Pressure, scrambles from pocket, good throw 1st down.
6. 1.95s. Quick out to Garrett. Pressure coming, good throw.
7. 3.37s. Curl to Hobbs. No pressure.
8. 1.8s. Screen to Floyd. No pressure.
9. 3.5s. Deep pass to Hoobs. Strong pressure, evades, good throw on target.
10. 1.3s. Quick hitch. No pressure.
11. 2.5s. Sack. 7 pass rushers. "Zero blitz".
12. 2.3s. Slant to Garrett INC. No pressure. Good pocket.
13. 1.36s. Flat to Hobbs. No pressure, good pocket.
14. 3.21s. Floater to Hobbs. No pressure, runs from pocket. long completion.
15. 1.21s. Screen Garrett.
16. 1.43s. Quick hitch. No pressure.
17. 3.49s. Curl. No pressure. Good pocket.
18. 3.62s. Sack. LT#66 beat on inside spin move. Atkinson open left quick hitch at 2 seconds. Dane looking deep.
19. 2.46s. Curl INC. Behind WR. Middle pressure, rollout to left wide open.
20. 1.32s. Quick hitch. No pressure.
21. 2.32s. PA slant behind Floyd. Great catch.
22. 2.91s. Deep to Floyd INC. Wide open on post route. No pressure, perfect pocket.
23. 2.02s. Flat to hobbs for 1st down. Strong pressure. Near sack off of LT#66.
24. 2.08s. Quick hitch atkinson. RCB blitz, good blitz pickup, good pocket, no pressure.

So. Against a pretty poor SMU team, the Oline gave up 2 sacks. One sack was from a 7 man blitz. Hard to blame anyone for that. 2nd sack Dane had 3.62 seconds to throw. Looking deep, no open, failed to see Atkinson wide open on left quick hitch route. Sack somewhat on LT#66, but Dane should have looked to other reads.

Overall, strong game from Dane. No bonehead plays. 1 missed wide open sure TD pass to floyd with perfect protection.

Average time snap to throw: 2.46s. Most of the sub 2 second throws were clearly designed quick hitch reads and screen type passes...which were 9 of the 24 (38%) passes I had recorded.

Do the same thing for the Houston and Memphis games. Much less time to throw and the receivers had hard time getting open. Houston had outstanding dbacks that blanketed Garrett.

Agree and Memphis was beating us without the extra blitzers. They had some monster DEs who beat the left side T like a drum that game. Houston game was different because we didn't have Lucas for much of the game and his ability on the crosses and deep posts would have freed up Garrett some and Houston would not have been able to roll double coverage over as much.
