Im assuming that Michigan makes the cut and we fall someone in between a 2 or 3 but not lower than that. I think Temple moves up to a 1 seed.

1 Seeds: Florida, Michigan (I think they dance), Valpo, Cuse
2 Seeds: Temple, Houston, Monmouth, Georgia Tech
3 Seeds: FSU, GW, UW, BYU

7 Seeds: Belmont, IPFW, UAB, KSU
6 Seeds: UCI, Evansville, Ole Miss, Clemson

Those are some interested 2-7 and 3-6 matchups. Tulsa/UAB would be a great matchup and game for the fans.

That has Houston as a 2 so I can't see getting worse than that. A 1 may be tough though.

Thanks for posting this!

Do these projections still consider TU on the NCAA tourney bubble?

I think so since it was updated early yesterday and bracketmatrix had us in the field.

Im sure the next one will change.

With Temple, Houston, and Cincy going out early and (6)Memphis and (5)UCONN playing for the championship will the American be a one bid league this year? If that happens do we have a good chance of being bumped from the NIT by the Memphis / UCONN loser? I am not a bracketologist.

Cincy and UCONN will be in. The only question is will Memphis bear UCONN and give the AAC 3 bids.

Interesting that if you really consider the full body of work all year, we stack up pretty well by the numbers only.

In reality though I think that is mostly just talk. The optics of a bad loss to end the season carries extra weight even though committee officially says late games count the same as early ones.

The guy who does this has TU in Dayton against VCU. Interestingly they just said on ESPN that 19 of 24 regular season champs hadn't won their conference tourney.

The original site listed in this thread now has Tulsa a #1 seed our first post season number one seed. That is RESPECT.

I expect a #2, but a W for UALR today may boost TU's RPI, currently 58 on live-rpi.

A #1 means an almost certain home win. A #2 only probably. Remember how well W&M played last year. In any event, not likely a marquee opponent in the first round, but likely a very good #3 and a marquee name in the second round.

I just want to see the Seniors finish on a better note than the last fiasco. We and they will have better memories of this 4 year run.

I think the NCAA generally issues #1 seeds to the last 4-8 left out. Not sure respect plays too much into the decision, rather current resume. Not uncommon for mid-majors to earn #1 NIT seeds.

I will be shocked if this group shows the heart to advance in the NIT considering the lack of effort vs Memphis. This will be Birt's team next season, I would like to see Haith push him to assert himself during this tournament, obviously the Sr's have no desire to lead.

Now that the NCAA officially runs the NIT the First 4 Out in NCAA tournament are the #1 seeds in NIT.
