Looks like Will Magnay adds another former TU player to the NBA. I show him listed on the Jazz roster, with that said I do not see Shaquille Harrison on the Jazz roster at all. They have squandered his talent. He was due to breakthrough this year and they just have him riding the bench all season.

This is incorrect. Sorry guys. Magnay plays for the Pelicans. Harrison is still with Jazz. I had wrong team pulled up and didn't realize it

it’s pretty cool to say there are 4 former Tulsa players in the NBA right now with Shaq, Jefferies, Magnay and Clarkson. Even if Magnay and Clarkson barely count

You can count Magnay and Clarkson as TU. Both selected Tulsa before they selected anywhere else.

Wow. I never expected to see Magnay in the NBA after he left TU. I guess he made the right decision for himself.

I thought Magnay was raw but had real potential. You can’t teach big especially if they can move and understand the game. Hated him leaving but good for him. And I love that Shaq is still out there busting his butt. Don’t care about Clarkson, he didn’t care about us...

the year Igbanu was a sophomore could have had a drastically different look if Magnay hadn’t left right before practice started. We were desperately thin in the middle after that, it was a literal game changer.

I totally agree. He would have been worth at least 2-3 more wins each year. I remember watching the OSU game and thinking Magnay is going to be a stud. He worked the pick n roll with Taplin very well and played great defense. He was strong and quick and I was thinking if he could develop a 10-foot shot, he’d be really tough. I understand he developed that and even a 3-point shot in Australia.

Here is a quite from Brad Underwood on Magnay after the game:

“I told my team this: Magnay, I love. That young man is going to be a tremendous basketball player. He won't be a freshman in three or four weeks. He is a double-double guy and he is very good.”

I believe he led the team in blocks that year, even with sharing time with Igbanu. A defensive presence in the paint is something we haven’t had since.

I remember posting on here." just wait till these guys are Seniors (Igbanu and Magnay). At that point TU was not having players leave early for the NBA so I had no idea he would leave.
