I’m behind from live action, but just saw the 3rd down that gave us a 1st called back for holding and the personal foul on JuanCarlos.
1. Sucks the OL held, but I can excuse that he was beaten and didn't want his QB getting destroyed.
2. Refs missed blatant roughing the passer.
3. JuanCarlos' personal foul, throwing the ball into the face mask of the opponent is not excusable.
I want to focus on JuanCarlos. I know we constantly discuss the poor discipline, I completely agree. However? He's a massive standout in the number of personal fouls.
Perhaps he's punished in practice and we don't see it, but given that it's rampant across the team, I doubt it. In business, which is how I assume I'd treat coaching if I were in the profession, I spend a lot of time teaching and helping others grow. If someone has poor discipline I work with them, if they don't make an effort to improve they're gone, end of the story.
