So it isn't being declared a city emergency? I thought that precluded leaving it up to a vote of the city council. If Mayor Bynum is taking that route intentionally, that is a wise & astute way to (politically) handle it. Mayor Holt of OKC already declared a city emergency froom July 3-14th.
You can’t get it outside unless someone with the virus is straight up in your face & at zero distance spitting directly into your eyes/mouth. Even in Wuhan they’re not forcing people to wear masks outside.

Fear is what scared New York into dealing with covid, and wearing masks without much debate. We've had 78 deaths in Tulsa. I wonder if we had approximately 1000 deaths, which is pretty close to the per capita # of deaths in New York, if we would act differently.(9.8m pop/22,8k deaths: .4m pop/78 death)

I would say unless you're in an area with a large group of people. (If you're going to a beach, or an event that may or may not be crowded, then you should plan on having a mask if it's over a certain occupancy)

You can’t compare masks to seatbelts. They’re literally the opposite. A seatbelt PROTECTS YOU. A mask PROTECTS OTHERS.
Furthermore, unless it’s my seed in the woman abortion laws do not directly affect me AT ALL, so that’s also not a fair comparison/analogy. I disagree with all abortion, I believe it is murdering innocent children which is the worst sin in the world, but you can’t compare the conscious decision of a woman to have one to a city ordinance mandating that you wear a mask in public.
Also, to which countries are you referring? I ask because I know that hospitals in other countries not only don’t receive the same financial/HR benefits as the USA per COVID case (& receive way more per COVID death), many of them lie about the numbers for other reasons.
Do you really think there are more cases/deaths in the USA than China? The same corrupt communist China that got the WHO to lie to the entire world just to protect China (primarily from a Trump victory in November but also from embarrassment)...

Maybe look at something a little more objective. The Examiner and FoxNews don't qualify as either.
Our choices aren't any better than 4 years ago but, Trump has divided the country so much, even if he loses we could end up on on the verge of civil war.
But, our best chances at all around recovery and reunification are without him in office.
