latest Lunardi has Cincy last four in and Tulsa last one out

bracket matrix has Temple and Cinncy as last two in, TU behind Michigan as second of first four out.
Clearly we have to root for SMU to knock Cinncy out. The L for WSU and playing a 7 win USF team, knocked TU's RPI down to 46. But a W for SMU should be better for TU even if Cinncy drops further than 52.

The AAC bracket is favorable but of course, the guys have to get it down vs. Memphis Friday night and then again on Saturday probably against UH (although I've seen Houston play really bad games).

We now have to win the AAC tourney as our worse case scenario EXISTS NOW Temple wins outright championship and Cincy is now solid in the ncaa tourney with the win over SMU.

Tulsa's RPI is getting destroyed.... sucks to win a game and drop 10 spots in the same weekend.

BUT... I have to believe that if Tulsa gets to Championship game, they're in.

TEMPLE's OOC sucks! It just sucks.

maybe, but evaluation is over course of full season and Temple won the AAC regular season outright. Temple is as much a lock as any AAC bubble.

We need to beat Memphis and have South Florida beat Houston. Then beat South Florida ( or whoever beats Houston) and beat a surprising ECU team in the finals. See if the pundits can keep us out then. This is almost what happened two years ago when we won the bracket sweepstakes.

Actually the Memphis fans are afraid that their route to the finals is so easy that Pastner might escape once again.

On Bracket Matrix, the latest brackets dated 3/6, have Tulsa in 20 of 28, Michigan in 6 of 28 & Syracuse in 22 of 28. So, Syracuse is last team in & we are first team out. Especially true with Cinci win over SMU.

Barring some amazing results this week (Iona, Ohio, UALR, Oregon State & So. Carolina all winning their conf. tournaments), I now think Tulsa has to win the AAC tournament. Even if we beat Memphis & Houston, & get listed as one of the last 4 in, a loss on Sunday would probably knock us right back out. I almost hope Looonardi keeps leaving us out, so our players keep their edge & don't get a false sense of security.

The bright side of this is our relatively favorable AAC draw. If we can beat a very average Memphis & a decent Houston, we will be in the finals. I'll now root for Temple to be our opponent next Sunday.

UCONN only leads TACO FALLING and UCF by 4 at half if UCONN would lose to TACO FELL they would POP THE BUBBLE.

UConn up by 10 with 12:30 remaining. Doesn't look like we'll catch a break there either.

lots of disagreement over which team TU should face if it makes the finals - I prefer Cinncy as the highest RPI team so a loss would not hurt TU's at-large chances. Remember that EVERY team except the 10 highest major conference champions will have a loss next week. So, a lot of teams close to the bubble may fall. As much as I wanted WSU to win the MVC, that is the kind of loss that should move TU closer and teams like WSU out.
