We need UConn to lose at temple and USF to beat Wichita that would distance the top 4 I don’t understand why Wichita is in the NCAA bracket and we are not even last 4 out who did Wichita beat

Here is the Shockers record by quadrant going into tonight’s game:

Wichita State
Q1: 2-3
Q2: 6-3
Q3: 3-0
Q4: 8-0

Here is ours:

Tulsa
Q1: 2-2
Q2: 3-5
Q3: 7-0
Q4: 5-1

8-6 in Q1 and Q2 with no bad losses vs 5-7 with a bad loss is a significant difference. I’m hoping we play a much tougher schedule next season.

That means if we were in the big 12 or big 10 with a 16 and 15 record we would be dancing the new quadrants protect the power 5

That's what I've been saying the whole time. A 16-15 power conference team with a below .500 conference record will get very strong consideration over a 22-8 14-4 conference record team from a mid major conference. Just because the teams they lose to have better records.

Exactly

Wasnt necessarily talking about us or our conference. But we might as well be anyway. Not talked about in the same breath as the other major conferences.

Unfortunately, not everyone feels that way.

P5 + Big East is a very common perception.
AAC is easily in the top 7 conferences. And it's funny they keep dropping the Big East in there because honestly those teams are no better than the AAC. Matter of fact, they've dropped. And there's a duality in how teams/conferences are regarded. Big East gets touted since they all beat up on one another. Reality is, it's Villanova and a bunch of mediocre teams. It's hard watching Seton Hall, Butler, and Creighton and hearing all the gushing over them knowing the top 5-6 teams in the AAC could all wipe the floor with those teams. I'm convinced Seton Hall is this year's version of the Glenn Robinson Purdue teams. It's one guy and 4 other guys running around him watching. He's a great individual player...but come tourney time if he's not lighting it up, Seton Hall is not winning.

Crap, in the AAC you never know who's going to win and the games end up going to 2 OTs and the quality of play is quite good (most nights). Even the bottom dwellers are winning games against the top half of the league. SMU has lost to both ECU and Tulane. Winning home games against the bottom dwellers is not a given either. USF gave WSU fits yesterday, and UCF beat Cincy the night before. And the supposed king of the hill in our conference with the most basketball tradition and self-ordained blue blood has finished in the bottom half of the conference more than they've finished in the top half since we've joined (UCONN Sucks).
