Income redistribution

Interesting poll. Anyone else surprised that Republicans are getting a greater percentage of middle class voters (12 point spread) than rich voters?

The filthy rich who make over $50,000 are the only ones who don't agree that Republicans favor the rich.

Those are some seriously flawed polls and statistics. Not sure I'd let Dylan Matthews (author of this lovely piece) walk my dogs, let alone do any sort of meaningful analysis after looking at this travesty of quantitative methods.

Unfortunately, the wealth of the top 1% has grown faster under Obama than with GWB. Heck, even that bastion of intellectual vapidity the Huffington Post cites Obama as a friend to the wealthy:

Hmm, shoot the messenger and then post a laugher. Great stuff.

To repeat the obvious, the income redistribution that has been going on since Reagan has been from the to the wealthiest at the expense of wage earners. Not the other way around as Fox would have you believe. Thanks to the a Republican House, Bush tax cuts and the best government money can buy, it continues apace.

I'm not sure what the Bush tax cuts and Rep House have to so with the drop in median income over the last 8 years or the replacement of living wage jobs with part time and/or low paying service jobs over the last four or so years. Food stamps at all time high, poverty rising, middle class being squeezed as their earning power and net worth continues to decline. Fair or not the Administration in charge always gets the credit or blame for these economic conditions. Blaming tax cuts from the last decade or the party in control of the House while ignoring the Presidency and Senate is disingenuous.

The wealthy continues to benefit from a rising stock market and an absurd tax policy which neither party will change due to special interest money. Meanwhile, the rest of us continue to suffer with stagnant wages and dissappearing living wage jobs.

Now you know why I call "some" liberals, "LIEBERALS". The term fits their leadership. Got it?
