They're a Doug Wojcik team!

Slow paced, work-it-inside offense that has no real 'identity'
Even slower grind it out defense that doesn't really force many turnovers but clamps down on the game score.

They play 2 BIG forwards + another tweener wing just like Woj.

Quick!!! Somebody dig up some gametape to give to Haith. How did we get beat in meaningful games all of those years???

Uh that's easy...every time you really need a bucket you give it to one guy to dribble around for 25 seconds and then isolate him with no hope of a pass to anyone.

Yeah, Dougie would've benched a few guys for (heaven forbid!) jumping a passing lane.

Shaq would not have fit his system.

They might be quite a bit like the Cincinnati team that immediately
followed the Oscar Roberson teams.....Hogue, Thacker, and Yates
won back-to-back nationals and reached the finals the third year
only to blow a lead to Loyola of Chicago late in the game.....

We were still playing them in the MoValley...

Great on defense, and only adequate on offense....They had a tall,
thin, Grasshopper Smith built forward (Wilson?) who was also a
major contributor......They reminded me a lot of the Bill Russell teams
from San Fran........

Obviously, I'm not suggesting that this Cinn. team is as good as
those teams, It's just built on the same premise....Defense first...
