Do you think our guys will come out with a fire in them wanting to prove everyone wrong? Or will we see a Memphis repeat? I pray they come out and take this opportunity and run with it!
Didn't SMU blow out Michigan at Michigan early on? And we beat SMU in Dallas I do believe.
Swannegan was the only bright spot against Memphis. TU can't play any worse than the Memphis game...Birt and Woodard have to show up for the Cane to be successful !I was very confused as to why we shot so few 3s against memphis. Many games we shoot too many, but have to shoot some. Hope everyone is right. I think the will come out strong, I don't expect another vcu type run but I believe in this team and when we are on, we can be incredibly dangerous!
82-58 SMU and UConn beat them by 15 too.
Gottlieb has had a corn cob up his butt ever since the Golden Hurricane beat his beloved aggies in Stollwater! Time for Doogie to get over his dislike for TU and move on....It may be strange but one thing I'm happy about is, other than Gottlieb and Lunardi, most of the experts are ragging on Vandy getting in rather than TU.
Not just the talking heads brutally dissing TU, but some clown analyst on espn did a number on Frank Haith that to me, a non-attorney, is borderline slander. I'm paraphrasing now, but it went something like....Frank Haith, here's a guy who does anything to win. He was at Missouri and before the NCAA comes down hard he leaves town. He goes on to mention the last Mem score & that Mich will slaughter TU. Wow! How do you feel about Tulsa, a$$hat? Don't recall his name, but someone will certainly mention it to FH & the team.Talking heads saying Tulsa gets blown out. Put that on every door in the DWR, and on campus! That is motivation material right there!

I think that's pretty much a givenWith the game in Ohio will it be a pro Michigan crowd w folks traveling in?
Yes, washed out former head coach Dan Dakich called Haith a "walking probation", basically accusing Haith of doing dirty business and moving on, leaving programs in shambles. Not just the talking heads brutally dissing TU, but some clown analyst on espn did a number on Frank Haith that to me, a non-attorney, is borderline slander. Ann Arbor is only 3 hours from Dayton. There will be a ton of them there. It will absolutely be a road game. Michigan is one of the top 10-20 supported teams in the nation. We match up pretty well with them on paper. They don't have much of a frontcourt, similar to us. Smith will have his work cut out for him. His (probable) matchup, Robinson, is 6-8 and shoots ~50% from 3. We can't lose their guys on the perimeter.my perception of the first round is that Dayton fans mostly fill in the crowd. There are fans from each of the two 11 seeds - about 750 or less - but it is a neutral court. Ohioans don't necessarily root for Michigan, even OSU fans, which see Michigan as their arch rival. I don't expect a road game.
