Problem is Trump's approval rating among Republicans is about 80% So....until it's not, Republicans in office have to dodge and weave in response to all the questions they get from reporters and talk show hosts about the latest rants from the "crazy uncle in the attic".
Seriously, how do Republican office holders talk about the future when their leader is obssessed with talking how he really won the 2020 election and didn't do badly in the midterms?
