I don't think we've had the ego at AD like they talk about Currie at KState. Few was the same thing we tried with John Phillips...didn't work for us at all. The mistake wasn't hiring Phillips at that time as much as it was not hiring Billy Gillespie over Buzz Peterson the previous year. (hindsight is 20/20 and Gillespie's issues were not public then). We did the same with football when BB was hired...we did hire an assistant, it just wasn't the right one IMO.

If Haith leaves in the next year or two, Kim English is who I would hire to replace him...in a heartbeat. It would be a similar hire as OSU's hiring of Boynton. Doing that would piss off a lot of TU alumni, not because it's English, but because he's not Shea Seals. IMO, English is an up and coming star in the coaching profession...and he is here right now.

There is no comparison between Few and Phillips. Few was involved with all aspects of the program including RECRUITING!
Shea is still in the learning mode. Maybe sometime in the future, but not the immediate future.
JP & BB have a lot in common, they were both local high schools coaches that hit the TU Lottery that made them financially set for life!
