Temple's offense is struggling but that defense is really good. The read/option Notre Dame scored on was perfectly delayed and executed.
Houston keeps their confidence up, they may just get better...and Navy and Cincinnati both looked really good today too. The AAC's overall quality is pretty good and far beyond the MWC and MAC

Temple ties the game on 4th and 1 and then forces a 3 and out. AAC refs giving the Owls some home cooking this week too. There have been some marginal calls that normally don't go against Notre Dame in this one. At the very least it shows Temple is the real deal going toe to toe with Notre Dame.
4 pt loss to ND should keep Temple in the top 25. Memphis was not impressive but keeps its ranking as Ole Miss beats Auburn. Houston shuts out the SECs bottom feeder Vandy (who beat Missouri last week). Still 3 American teams in the top 25 and the team (even if it is Navy) that wins the title clearly gets the New Years Day "Group of 5" bid. An undefeated champion - now only Houston or Memphis - should be in the playoff discussion. A very good day for our league. And the American is challenging the notion that only 5 leagues are Power leagues - leaving the MWC, MAC, Sunbelt and WAC rather far in the rear view window
Notre Dame is the bane of our conference this year. Thought Temple was going to pull it off. I don't know if I'd go quite so far out on a limb as your Navy comment, but I doubt reality will let there be a chance of proving u right or wrong! I love the American, the only game I would change if I had a magic wand, would be Temple v. Notre Dame.
