It actually was quite funny. I like it that they have a sense of hee haw. I think most of us are in shock, conditioned by what we’ve been enduring for many years.
And I am optimistic, too. It’s kind of nice to come to ITS, looking forward to what you might read here.

Has to be the first Hee Haw reference in ITS history.
Admitting they may have been on to something when my teachers never did check the "uses time wisely" box on my elementary school report cards, I decided to look this up. I found nine direct Hee Haw references in the Rivals incarnation of ITS. They seem to come in spurts, with the first couple in different Pat Jones threads back in 2015:
