Hoiberg

I just saw this on his wikipedia:

Arguably the most popular player in the history of Iowa State basketball, the father's of young women in central Iowa are known to offer their daughters up to Hoiberg, in exchange for his seed.

Hoiberg, great college coach who can convince players to come to the middle of nowhere. Pro coaches always get bad raps if they can't take the dead beat players who have giant egos and motivate them to try and be better...or if they're stuck with owners who won't do what it takes to get the players you need. There are a lot of former college coaches who find this out. Hoiberg doesn't need to be disheartened by this. He can just look and see that Rick Pitino and John Calipari both flamed out of pro-coaching. And Lon Kruger.

My guess is Hoiberg ends up at Illinois where Underwood is going to flame out.

Nebraska is also a possible landing place.

Let's see what Nebraska does the rest of the year. They're actually pretty good and anyone associated with their athletic dept. that thinks they can turn Nebraska into a basketball school is smoking the same crack that the people at Kansas are smoking to make them think they can turn KU into a football school.

And Holy Crap, Jim Molinari is an assistant at Nebraska. We heckled him to death when TU was still in the MVC. He talked gas like no coach I've ever heard before. Loved crushing Bradley in the MVC tournament on our way out the door to make them sweat on selection Sunday. That final was one of the most dominant defensive performances I've ever seen at TU and Cordell Love went on a mini-run mid 2nd quarter (3 3'S in about 90 seconds) to effectively put the game away. Of course we crapped the bed and blew a 12pt lead in the last 5 minutes in the NCAA 1st round against Louisville.
