Hi, I'm a UConn alumni, live near Hartford, and have some free time so I thought I'd make a site to help anyone unfamiliar with the Hartford area who are going for the AAC tournament. I love going to new cities but digging through message boards and yelp can be a pain.
So far i plan to cover The Tournament, The St. Paddy's Day Parade, Bars/Restaurants/Drink Specials and Entertainment/Museums/Places to See. Let me know what you guys think or what you would want to see more of.

Check it out: Connecticut Rising

You need to let everyone know where Aaron Hernandez' hood is so they can avoid it :)

lol i think that's actually Bristol where ESPN is headquartered. It's a nice area but I guess if you look hard enough you can find trash anywhere.

I also just updated with info on the Pub Crawls and more on the parade. Museums, concerts, and places of interest should be up next.

It's looking like the weather should be in the upper 40's/50 too which is awesome.

Thanks ms for the information. Great you took the time to do this. It is helpful

You gotta know where to get your kegs & eggs so I've updated with food/drink specials and of course the final bracket.

I joke because I am a Patriots fan. Coincidentally I dated a girl in HS who is now one of the counselors a the Bristol County jail where Hernandez is being held and my mom's office is across the street from the jail site. They said the media attention around there is absolutely insane.

My last big update just went live, entertainment, museums, and places to see. I've listed everything from the Mark Twain House to the Casinos to Pepe's Pizza. I would definitely give it a look if you want to know where to go in the Hartford area.

I understand that TU sold less than 15 tickets to snowbound
Hartford so this nice attempt welcome visiting fans
is moot. Hopefully the American will realize the
tournament should move from the frozen Tundra
to the geographic center.

A guy does something nice, and beneficial for the conference tourney, and you pick this post topic to start pissing all over the place. Not good etiquette, and not good placement for your post. Not saying whether your post is good or bad, simply thinking it should not have been posted where it was.

I will say this: giving the tournament to UCONN, or any of the other teams left out of the last shuffle is a waste of time. CUSA pandered to Memphis, they left. The WAC pandered to us, and we left. As soon as a good opportunity comes, those schools will be gone. This tournament should not be played on a home court. And it should be played in an intelligent geographic location.
