It seems like, since rivals' transition to the new forum format, these boards have been pretty dull compared to the past. So, to break the monotony...

I'm guessing it will be a deep pass... possibly a wheel route of some sort that puts the opposing team on their heels and sets a precedent for the season.

It will be 100% more creative than what we've seen the past couple of years.

So you're saying that it won't be run up the middle, run up the middle, run up the middle, kick?

Reverse fly sweep homage to the ND win

It's going down the field...we won't be seeing a ton of 3 runs up the middle and a cloud of crushed tire and sand this year. If they hold true to the Spring game, they'll look for something mid-range, 10-12 yards and throw deep on the emergency route.

Everyone knows he will throw it, so I am going with the run up the middle.

it'll be a read option, run right up the middle for about 2 yards.

This was my second choice. I watched some of his 'behind the scenes' Baylor practice tape, and he certainly puts a lot of emphasis on building from the transition point of the QB / RB exchange during a read option. I wouldn't be surprised to see Dane Rush for a couple hundred yards this season. I also think we'll have a back who goes +1000

Monty calls a run up the middle for his first play, kicking up every TU fans PTSD from last season.
Now play number 2 he decides to throw it deep for a score.

I'll predict a quick pass out to a WR, behind the line of scrimmage. Safe first pass for Dane to get things started

Mark me down as a QB zone read hand off to the RB who dives the A gap for 3 yards.

Pass from Johnson to Johnson for a TD!!!!

Sorry I was watching highlights from the '08 season.

Dane pass to Brewer out of the backfield for a 7 yard gain.

The first play will be a draw play.
That was going to be my answer....I remember the '64 game against Okie St., which
we eventually won 63-14 (or some such), the first play was a draw that went for
about 25 yds.....

Will be interesting to see Evans playing with a full deck of offensive assets, including
aggressive play calling......Should be fun to watch.....
