Scholarship kicker. Coached by former OU and Wash Redskins kicker from the early 90’s Scott Blanton. 3.9 GPA 1285 SAT. He’s camped with Kornblue which is one of the better pay to kick coaching services that shops kids nationally at the FBS. Kornblue rates him 16th on their list. Not sure he has any other offers. No expressed interest in any other programs according TU social media. Has hit a game winner from 48 yards. His Dad is a K-12 consultant so he will study hopefully. Could be problem solved ... if he brings his holder with him.

I’m hoping the holder comment is tongue in cheek sarcasm...I watched pretty closely last night on all the kicks and every hold was dead perfect. Rainey has a mechanical deficiency in both his plant foot and posture kicking through the ball.

Go back and watch the tape. I linked it in the other thread. The snap was high on the first one and he hesitated. On the second, the hold was slightly tilted towards the holder and that likely caused the shank. It’s a three man unit and they are all struggling with consistency.

And with everyone in the stadium knowing that, Monty chose to run the clock down instead of run for a TD on the last 2 drives of the game. It was funny when he took heavy hit off the water bottle right before the final missed kick, like he's dehydrated from the demands of putting so much energy into his game plan... Gimme a break... The kicker can't kick and the coach puts the game on his leg. The coach can't coach and the kicker can't kick. Sounds like we've redressed half the equation, time to redress the dingus at the helm next.

Great news for the future, so what can we do to improve for the rest of this year.
