Massive win yesterday afternoon. I love beating the Smoo. When we can beat the Smoo and Memphis by decisive margins in the same season I am a happy man.

The Smoo enters the tracker as a Q3 but they are good enough and close enough to where it could end up as a Q2. ORU keeps playing with my emotions but they made it back to a Q3 and Vanderbilt is bound and determined to give me a heart attack. lol

We have 4 games left and we have a 2 game lead on Memphis and the Smoo. That said any combination of a TU win and a Smoo and Memphis loss or TU winning two games secures us a bye in the AAC Tourney to have us playing Friday. Securing the number 3 spot is going to be tougher as WSU is trying to make a run to secure a tourney bid. Easy scenario, we win all 4 and we have the third spot secured. We win three and WSU loses 1 and we secure the 3 spot.

With Houston losing yesterday we still have a shot at winning the conference regular season title and securing an NIT bid. So many things have to happen for that but it is doable. Out of the top 4 we have the easiest schedule. We only play 1 of the top 4 in these last 4 games. The other three have to play at least 2 of the top 4 teams in this conference.

I am so exited about this season I cannot contain it.

Easy to pick who to root for today. An ECU wins gets the whole conference above 200. Wichita over Cincinnati gives us a shot at first place Tuesday. A USF win over Uconn, gives us a Uconn loss, which is always fun to see.

These rankings are BS when Yukon and Memphis are shown higher than us. Pure BS.

It's just because they played teams in the OOC that are winning. Uconn played Villanova and Florida, who they did beat, and Memphis played Oregon and Tennessee. So you get rewarded for losing games to teams that win. It's why I hate this new system
And that is the only reason Memphis is still in the conversation for at large

I think Memphis beat Tennessee and NC State. They lost a close one to Oregon on a neutral court.

Haith has to figure out the non-con portion of our schedule. Our performance cost us about 40 NET spots.

Agree. The NET isn’t to blame here....we are. Haith knew how the NET is calculated and chose to schedule in a manner which resulted in a drag on our ranking. Two games against teams in the top 100 and four against teams in the below 300 in OOC isn’t going to help you come March.

One year Missouri state Scheduled and had a 35 rpi and still didn’t get in for the valley because they lost there tourney and the next year the rpi was changed to stop this

Fun fact....our RPI as of today is exactly the same as our NET....#82. We just didn’t schedule well.

The refs were handing Temple this game but they can’t hit free throws for anything. 10 seconds left 2 point lead for ECU

No game in this conference can be taken for granted. I don’t know why Dooley went back to ECU and think they will always suck, but now they occasionally beat people. Too many good coaches.

I was rooting for Wichita today so we could be second. Cincinnati pulls it out though so we’re still in third until our next game. Wichita made a silly play with just over 3 seconds to go and down 2. They tried a full court heave that was intercepted. You would think they would know what a dribbling shooter can do in 3 seconds after their game in Tulsa.

Well we have a lot of chances to move up in the standings but with Cincinnati winning today that drops out chances of the regular season title. We were at 24 percent today that might drop down to about 15 tomorrow

With WSU losing, to clinch the 3 spot we need a combo of 2 Tulsa wins plus 1 shocker loss or 3 Tulsa wins.

If the season ended today and we get the 3 seed then we are looking at playing the Memphis vs USF winner and then playing Cincinnati if they beat the Temple vs ECU winner.

this whole thing is up for grabs right now and we still got 4 games left and nothing has been decided

Well that's not quite true. It's definitely been decided we aren't finishing 10th.

Wichita still has to play Memphis and SMU.

Memphis may make the top 4. America is a beautiful country.

Listening to the announcers yesterday it is obvious why we are lagging in the bubble conversation.

It was said that Wichita and Cinci have 8 'good' q1 or q1 wins. We sit with just 5. Wichita has no bad losses. We still have 2, one of which will almost certainly stick.

I am not positive I recall this 100% correctly but the gist makes sense.

Hopefully the lesson for Frank is...do whatever you can to win the OOC games, even against the Lamars and UTAs of the world. 20-7 looks a lot better than 18-9 right now.
