CONFERENCE PLAY IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The GOI went 4-3 yesterday with Tulsa losing a close one to Kansas State and SE Louisiana and APB getting blown out of their games.

We don't have a huge slate for today but we do have our first conference matchup today. Our Non conference is over and now we need to be focused on the teams in Conference.

It is New Years Eve. Lets put 2019 behind us and start 2020 with some hindsight lol.

GOI went 3-0 yesterday. Austin Peay got smoked hard by Georgia.

There is only one game today and it is a conference matchup.

During the Wojick years, a 118 RPI (now NET) would have been a cause for celebration. The AAC is a really strong league this year. Only ECU is killing the league overall. A W over Temple (which I expect) should pull TU into the top 100.

This league is so much better than the old CUSA. We’ll have lots of opportunities for good wins in conference play, we just need to seize some of them.

Temple beat UCF on the road 62 to 58.

Puts Temple in the +1 category for the road win. If they beat us here Friday they would have a large early lead.

I like the fact that Temple is coming in after a big road win. I would be more worried if they were trying to avoid a road loss sweep. And, what a road trip - Philly-Orlando-Tulsa.

Side note on a game with a former American conference coach. If mini-me coach Mick Cronin loses many more like 4-10 UC Fullerton this season, he's going to be on the hot seat as soon as next season. Rather amusing to see him already chided by the conference for his comments on officiating in North Carolina game. Really stupid to call out the refs as an excuse, against another blue blood.

It's funny to see him having the problems many predicted when he took the UCLA job, creep up so early. UCLA basketball fans/administration are not so patient, as evidenced by how quickly Alford was canned.
