MASSIVE win last night against Northwestern State. If you look at it our losses were not blowouts but our wins were blowouts. We also lost to some good teams.

Today we have a good slate of games.

Cincinnati visits Georgia. we need conference wins against the "Bigger" conferences
UCF visits #15 Florida State.
Because these guys are a glutton for punishment Northwestern state is in Springfield today to take on Missouri State after getting drubbed by Tulsa.

Houston at Alabama has been cancelled because of COVID cases with the Cougars program

UT Arlington and Oral Roberts a couple weeks ago mutually agreed to move their Home and Home series to start next year because of the pandemic.

Clemson at South Carolina has been postponed due to COVID cases on the Gamecocks program. There is not a makeup date set but they are hopeful to have one since they are in state.

Todays Games

James Madison at East Carolina 12:00 p.m. ESPN+
Grambling at Tulane 1:00 p.m. ESPN+
NJIT at Temple 3:30 p.m. ESPN+
Northwestern State at Missouri State 7:00 p.m. ESPN3
Cincinnati at Georgia 7:00 p.m. SEC Network
UCF at #15 Florida St 8:00 p.m. ACC Network
Houston at Alabama Cancelled
UT Arlington at Oral Roberts Cancelled
Clemson at South Carolina Postponed

ECU is up by 13 on JMU with 4 and a half remaining in the game

Tulane up by 11 on grambling about to go into half

UCF with a big win at ranked Florida St.

Dawkins has it going in Orlando.

ECU and Tulane look like they will be decent teams and their days of being anchors on conference rankings are over.

Cincy looks bad, not like never win bad, just can't quite get it done bad. Rough season may be ahead for bearcats.

Dayton beat Ole Miss today and continues to make SMU look good.

Looking like four bids right now, with UCF and Houston having strong resumes. USF and SMU look like they will be pretty strong as well. Everyone else looks to be in a jumble although who knows with Temple who looked strong after a lot of unknown and no games.

Well your right. Cincinnati did look horrid. The conference is going to jumble itself up. So the only team I am sold on right now is Houston.

This was Temples first game so who knows how they will do.

I am confident we can make up ORU, I am hopeful we can do so with Arkansas. We need a quality win.

ORU also looks solid, they may have a chance at taking the Summit. Be nice if we do play them to have them win that auto bid.

With ORU in Tulsa and the summit doing a block conference schedule we just have to find an open date. Arkansas is a short drive so I don’t see making that up a big issue.

the only problem I really see if they don’t schedule it soon and there are more covid conference issues then we might not get to schedule it

Yup, I also hope we are looking for one more game. People are coming to Dallas to play, losing games and scrambling to make up. One more solid close by tier 2 or 1 game would be really good to help us try and build a resume. No idea if OU or OSU has any slots still open, but either would work.

I really don't expect the ORU game to be hard and honestly not really too much harder to get for Arkansas. I do feel like both could be so and so in conference has to cancel, we'll play tomorrow if you can type things for us or them. Not ideal but that is some good post season prep where you have to learn a team quick and then execute your own playing style at a top level.

With us scheduling southwest Christian we can’t pick up another opponent unless the Arkansas or ORU game gets canceled

Playing ORU would be deadly for Haith. They are even leading Arkansas midway second half at Bud Walton.

I thought we could have seven and only scheduled six originally? It's been hard to keep up with every change.

I wish they had avoided that whole Southland fiasco. They might have been able to place themselves in position for the MVC invites that came a little later.

Them being in the Valley is probably the best they could hope for, but it would give them an occasional chance to get an at large and I think the program would thrive there.

Which all would make playing them every year like we should better and finally avoid those anchor years they have on our SOS occasionally.

Arkansas pulls away. Couple ref calls go hawgs way (surprise!) to make sure, but looked like they would pull out a tough one last six seven minutes

I would normally make a new post but there is only really one game of any significant interest the other is a butt whipping.

Tulsa goes to Memphis today and I LOATHE Memphis.

The other game is like leading a lamb to the slaughter when Northwestern State heads to Spokane to take on #1 Gonzaga. It gonna be a bloodbath.

Todays Games

Tulsa at Memphis 7:00 p.m. ESPN2
Northwestern State at #1 Gonzaga 8:00 p.m.

I’m really nervous about this one. Memphis has a lot of talent but they haven’t played as a team so far. We have a lot of talent but have played well as a team so far. Neither team shoots particularly well but Memphis shoots better at home than on the road. Whichever team can play as a unit should win and it could be a blowout either way.

Yea Memphis is a 9.5 point favorite seems high to me we beat them by 40 or something last year in our only meeting last year.

yep 80-40 in the only game between the teams last year. With tonight's win, Memphis must worry they CAN"T BEAT TULSA. Would love to see posts from the Tigers fan base. And this the day that UM blesses the terrible PENNY with a 5 year extension, based on WHAT? recruiting obviously. He is no CALIPERI and maybe no PASTNER!!! HHAHHAAHAHH
