ITS GAMEDAY!!!!!

We have a TU double header tonight. Both games are playing at the same game time. Tulsa Men host the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils at the Reynolds Center. The Delta Devils are coming off a 71-48 drubbing at the hands of the Shockers on Tuesday. They are 8-4 on the season.

The TU Womens team has the biggest game of their season and of the Nelp Era tonight as they travel to Lawrence Kansas to take on the Lady Jayhawks who are ranked number 22 in the polls. This could be a big boost to the program. Tulsa sits at 74 on the NET and Kansas is 19 on the NET.

Oregon State has a big margin of victory over Seattle last night and moved up 31 spots on the NET.

Todays games

The rest of the schedule is not that exciting. ORU is holding a 59 NET and is hosting Missouri St. These games are must wins for The Golden Eagles.

And One

Bowl Season has started and we have two good games today. Miami of Ohio and UAB are playing in the Bahamas bowl and then we have two ranked teams #24 UTSA and #25 Troy in the Cure Bowl. Both of these games look to be exciting.

GO TU!!!

Tulsa Men got a win last night and the Women were holding Kansas until midway through the third quarter until they ended up losing by 19. Not very much movement on the NET. The Men actually went down 1 and Mississippi Valley went up one because it was so close and we were not that efficient.

Tulsa Women dropped one spot on the NET to 75 which is still respectable. There are four teams in the AAC that have stronger NETS than Tulsa. With games like Kansas it will prepare them for conference play and competing against South Florida.

Todays games

Today we have some great games ahead of us.

#5 Houston takes on #2 Virginia on ESPN2. This will be another tough test for the Kitties. Oklahoma State visits Wichita State this evening. This will be a good game to watch as we have played Okie State and we will play the Shockers later this season.

We have some Holiday games this weekend

Jackson State takes on Texas Tech in the HBCU Roundball Classic in Houston, TX.

George Mason takes on Tulane in the Legends of Basketball Showcase in Chicago, IL

South Caroilina travels to Greenville to take on East Carolina in the Greenville Winter Invitational. This makes me want to bring up the need again for the All College Tournament.

UCF takes on Missouri in the Autonation Orange Bowl Basketball Classic in Sunrise, FL. I believe Sunrise is where that apartment building collapsed.

Last but not least, North Texas (incoming AAC team) is hosting UMass (Myrtle Beach Invitational Champion) this afternoon. I believe that will be a good game to watch at least to see Frank Martin go nuts on his assistants again. Maybe Drunk UMass guy will travel to Denton. lol

And One

GJ Kinne and the Incarnate Word Cardinals lost a close one to North Dakota State in the Semifinals of the FCS tournament. He finished with a 12-3 record. Great season for the First Time HC. He can now focus on his new FBS job in the Sunbelt Conference with Texas State. Glad he didn’t get Braxton from us but I wish him well.

GO TU!!!

My God, that score looks like us against Houston. Obviously not referring to the Tulane score.
