Games of Interest (1.5.22 - 1.7.22) Post Memphis during Snowmageddon

Today is a bad slate of Games. Northwestern State is playing in the losers bracket of the Southland in season tournament this afternoon. Colorado State and Boise Game has been postponed due to COVID at Boise State.

Tomorrow is going to be a bigger slate of games. Unfortunately the Tulsa at UCF game has been postponed and activities paused at Tulsa.

AND 1

Since the beginning of the year, College basketball (mens) have been averaging 6-8 postponements or cancellations a day. Some of the conferences immediately reschedule games when its ben postponed. This will make for a log jam come February and March or some cancellations coming. Tulsa is now in these protocols. In November is said that 24 was our magic number. With the losses we have and the uncertainty that we will get to play all of our conference games this year, unless we get on a good winning streak and push above a 50 NET, we must win the conference tournament. That tourney will be in Fort Worth again this year. So hopefully we can get strong enough to be competitive in the tournament and hopefully win enough games to get a bye for the first round. Before we go into that, lets win a conference game.

So, assuming Houston stays this high in the NET, how does the selection committee justify giving them a 3 seed come tournament time?

They currently have 0 Q1 wins. That will do it.
Point being they continue to change the bar and metric. Well the NET is the standard now not the RPI. Well, here's the NET, so now they'll change it again.

Per the usual, they just blab on about competition until nobody is really listening anymore and do whatever the Hell they want.
