ITS GAMEDAY!!!

Tulsa Men host South Florida in the battle of the 200 NET teams. Both Tulsa and USF are in the NET 200’s. South Florida has one thing on Tulsa, they actually have won a conference game. Tulsa is still seeking that illustrious first conference win of the season. They are also trying to figure out how to close out games. They have just over a month before they conference tournament in Fort Worth to get it together. Any hopes of Post season rest on winning 4 straight games. A feat they have not done this year.

Tulsa Women are looking to build on their win on Wednesday by traveling to Cincinnati (190 NET). The bubble people are not playing nice with the Golden Hurricane who have only lost 3 games this season. The wins were not against decent caliber competition. If the ladies continue to win they will get in the post season. The only team they haven’t played with a higher NET is UCF and they will see them in the regular season finale.

Wichita State is in action this morning at Tulane who skull drug Tulsa on Wednesday. They seek to make more noise in conference by taking out the Shockers who got their first conference win on Wednesday.

This evening Houston visits Central Florida. Houston is the premier program in this conference and tries to stay that was against the knights.

Former player spotlight. Keyshawn Williams currently plays for the Northern Illinois Huskies. He has played in all but 1 game this season and started 10 of these. He is averaging 29.4 minutes per game. He is shooting 46 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3 on 20-50. He is also a 77 percent Free Throw shooter and gets to the line quite a bit. As a matter of fact, he has taken more foul shots than anyone on the team. Keyshawn and the Northern Illinois Huskies take on Central Michigan at home on ESPN3 today at 3:00 p.m.

The shockers fall again to Tulane 67-61. Just like last game Wichita state had the last shot to win the game and missed it. They also rushed this shot and didn’t use the whole clock.

ITS VICTORY SUNDAY!!!!

The TU Men’s team got their first conference win of the season by smashing South Florida by 31 points. Hopefully this gets the team going and some confidence going into a fight with Wichita State, who is also on the downward slide, in Wichita. Apparently, the streak continues with Tulsa and South Florida at 11. South Florida has not found a way to beat Tulsa.

The Tulsa Women massively underperformed yesterday. They were smashing Cincinnati and allowed them to come back and win that game. They dropped 6 spots in the NET to 87 and went from the 3rd highest NET in conference to the 6th highest NET in conference. The schedule is just going to get more daunting for the ladies.

And 1

Speaking of the ladies chances to make the tournament. If they win their remaining games, 9 (Cincinnati reschedule and 8 remaining) it will give them a record of 22-4 (this is with a win over UCF). They would be a second or third seed in the conference tournament and then they would need to win two games to get to the finals. This would finish the season at 24-4. The ladies Q rankings are as such.

Q1 – 1 Loss
Q2 – 1 Win and 1 Loss
Q3 – 3 Win and 2 Loss
Q4 – 8 Win
Not eligible for Q ranking – 1 Win (Missouri S&T)

They have 1-Q1, 1-Q2 and 1-Q4 games remaining. They have 6 Q3 games remaining on the schedule. Their schedule is working against them right now.
