I really believe that it would have been in the teams best interest if SMOO had beat Cincinnati. They didn't and Cincinnati did move up 7 spots in the ranking.

Nice big slate of games today. Looks like some great basketball being played. I think this is the longest streak TU will have without a game. I want Saturday to hurry up and arrive.

Weirdly, Wichita State is off this week as well. Both teams are going to be well coached up by the time they see the floor of the Don Rey.

Colorado State would more than likely move into Q2 territory with a win tonight. Basically leaving us with only 1 bad loss by the numbers.

Everyone in the country not named Gonzaga or San Diego State has one bad loss. We need CSU to get top 100. Do that and we can stack enough good wins in conference and at the neutral conference tourney (top 50 is quad 1) to get us in and the bad loss not kill us.

Kansas St can move into quad 1 territory which would also help and probably come at the expense of some bubble team in the big xii. We need the top of the conference not lose to the bottom so our chances at quad 1 wins go up.

yes And it would take a miracle to get that arky State loss off that Q4
There is something so weird about the NET formula.

Arky St is 15-7 and 3rd place in their conference. They have victories over us and CSU
UTA is 9-12 and 5th place in the same conference. Their only decent victory seems to be over us.

It's just because UTA has played 3 ranked teams in Oregon, Gonzaga and Houston. So their net isnt going to drop as much. That's my guess anyway

Yeah that's why it's hard for me to trust the Net. Even though we dont really have a choice but to trust it. But to be fair, UTA did beat Ark St by 20 in their first meeting

I’m assuming we need Houston, Memphis, and Temple to win for us tonight to move the needle in a positive direction w/o even playing.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t be surprised if Temple finishes last in the conference. They look like they have just given up all together..

As much as it pains me to say this, UConn has a path to the top 75, which would make them a desperately needed Q1 win for us.

Is Memphis going to ever recover from us exposing them? I am just thinking Tubby is drinking his revenge in a cold glass. Too bad High Point is doing so poorly this year.

UCONN dragging Temple around like that toddler getting dragged around the mall by his mom.

Temple looks terrible.

Memphis up 4 on UCF, just under 6 left. Memphis still looks like a playground bunch and very disjointed on offense. I swear Penny’s offense is throw it towards the basket and let Precious go get it.

Even Memphis fans have pointed out that Memphis doesn’t seem to run plays it’s all one on one stuff.

Temple does look terrible, and they shouldn't. Weird times for Temple. Team ditched "chemistry" class or coach can't teach it?

They managed to pull out a 2pt win at home against UCF. That's not a big vote of confidence for them pulling it out. In upcoming games UConn and Cincinnati are going to be tough games for them. I could see them winning somewhere between 3 and 5 games in their last 11. I can easily see them finishing 8-10.

There will already be people screaming for his head in Memphis. It only took two seasons and we were the exposer. That doesn't serve us well this season, or for the short term. But it is still somewhat of a good feeling.

They were in Orlando

The talking heads keep talking about whether or not Memphis is in the NCAA field but unless their play steps up a lot I just don’t see it. Even if they do make it I’m betting on one and done.

South Carolina is up on Arkansas

South Florida beat tulame pretty bad in New Orleans

Kansas State beat Oklahoma in Manhattan

Lunardi has us as the American Auto bid with a 12 seed and Memphis as one of the last at large teams with a 12 seed.

That suggests to me we are close to the tipping point. Actually better off than I expected right now.

I don't think Lunardi really knows what he's talking about. He does help drive the narrative though, and that's why it was such a surprise when we got the last at-large in 2016. Our resume was virtually identical to the teams that got left out, but we were off the radar for no real reason other than he said so

He only has us in that spot because we are number 1 in the American right now. If you read his recent post on ESPN he actually has us being left out because of our 268 ranked strength of schedule which kept NC State out last year.

The KState result was about the only good thing that happened for us tonight outside of the conference.

Colorado St up 2 with 21 seconds left. That’d be a nice result for us

CSU up 4 with 23.4 seconds left. Refs put 2 seconds back on the clock after a foul. CSU hits both.
