Tulsa Men travel up I-35 to take on the Shockers today at 3 p.m. Tulsa women are at home today against a Houston team that had their number last year.
The Women are still at an 83 NET which wont get them in the tournament but closing out these games will help. Still looking forward to the showdown between them and USF.
The men have had a bad year so far but seem to be making a concerted effort to improve. Now its time for them to start ruining some seasons. We can start today with Wichita St.

Yesterday was such a tough loss for the mens team. That last 5 minutes was just bad basketball except for Griffin. We moved up 9 spots in the NET even with a loss and Wichita State fell down 2 spots despite a win. This should have been a great road win. We led the whole game except the last 90 seconds. Its been beat up enough in the threads. All I will say is that the team seems to be getting better or atleast are in games more. This could bode well for later in the schedule and come conference tourney time.

The women survived a surging Houston team in the 4th quarter. They go on the road for the next two games before returning home to take on USF. Both teams are undefeated in Conference play. TU will be down Jessica Evans for the remainder of the year due to an injury sustained in the Kansas game. Others will need to step up to continue winning in the conference.

And One

UCONN came into 2023 14-1 and one of the hottest teams in Basketball. Since the New year they are 1-2 losing to #25 Marquette by 6 and to Providence by double digits. Currently they are down to St John’s at home. I love rooting against Hurley.

Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and since it is a federal Holiday I am off work. Today is to celebrate the life of the prominent figure in the Civil Rights movement. He did not start the Civil Rights movement but he was one of the biggest contibutors on getting legislation pushed through so that the phrase “All men are created equal” represented ALL men.
