Going small gets Tim Dalger on the floor more often. And that usually works to the Golden Hurricane's advantage.

As one of four players in double digits scoring, Dalger scored 13 points and 7 rebounds to help lead Tulsa to a 83-62 victory over Alcorn State on Thursday night in front of 2,566 at the Reynolds Center.

Several things are making "small ball" work for this TU team, and obviously Haywood's finding
a really strong surge of confidence in the things he can do well, (and doing them), and the floor
time afforded to Dalger because the "Bigs" couldn't get it done, and K.E.S. giving us 19 minutes
of nothing, which he was getting closer to each game.....

Haywood has become, as if by magic, one of the better 6'4/5" rebounders in the league, and
some of his assists are those of a really seasoned college veteran......Dalger is growing as a player
game by game, and his work ethic is really admirable....He is going to be something special.....
In the meantime, Griffin and Horne continue to fill it up.....This is certainly not ignoring the
skills of our freshman guard Pritchard, who has those wonderful intuits about getting the ball
to the right player at the right time....I don't see any selfishness on this team, and that usually
leads to better shots and better shooting.....

In almost all of Haith's interviews after coming to TU, he always mentioned his 30 win team at
Missouri, and always bragged that no starter on that team was over 6'6"....He is somehow going
back in time, trying to replicate the success of that Missouri team......"small ball" may be Haith's
forte, and that assumes he has one....

GO TU!!
