I might be out of touch and the answers/comments might have been posted before, but:

1. HOw about our punter this year? he was bombing it in early in the game into the wind…don't remember him hitting it that well last year.

2. Did Jeremy Smith get hurt?

3. mudoh with 20 tackles…conference defensive POW?

Parks was inconsistent in the way he punted last year. It was a drop technique issue and not leg strength. It is obvious he worked really hard since the end of last season to hone his craft. The pooch where he dropped the ball in the 5 was a thing of beauty. Now we need the coverage team to look up and find the ball.

Someone said Smith sprained his ankle.

I have a hard time with a safety making 20 tackles...usually means the ball made it 5+ yds down the field before someone got to him.

Really hope our guys work hard on their tackling from here out. So many times they had the runner stuffed, and ended up being a 10 plus yard gain. That and covering the flats are the two things that stood out on defense. Don't know the flats were open every time" but they were

Mudoh was listed with 12 tackles. If he stays healthy this season, his career totals will be in the top 2 or three in TU history.

Post game said Mudoh had 19, Tulsa World said he was credited with 20. Either way he didn't win Def. POW for the AAC because a kid for Temple had 3 sacks against Hackenburh from Penn St. That's pretty solid.

With regard to the comments on the passes into the flat and our defense. That okay was there because TU overplayed the play action on those. #3, the kid who was the QB at Wake Forest last year, played as the H-back in those sets and would feign like he was down blocking and then run the quick out. Mudoh had said they game-planned for FAU's power run game and the came out with the read option stuff which caught TU a little off guard. The LB who is supposed to cover that route into the at was consistently crashing down the line and he's going to learn from those sets that he has to read and react.

My mistake, it was 20 total tackles according to TU stats. 12 solo tackles.
