At first glance, that might seem a bad idea. But it has worked really well. For the most part you no longer have to worry about bowl over-lap. The days of deciding which one you watch and which one conflicts with it are pretty much over. One goes long and another starts it's moved over to ESPN-2. Now you can watch football till you barf. I have enjoyed it. Clemson versus Alabama will be interesting because we saw both of them. The playoff format and the TV coverage have matched well. Next year let's do 8 teams in the playoffs.

ESPN openly promotes SEC and P-12 for business reasons. The sport would be much better served with competition from other networks. I don't like some godfather at ESPN conspiring with league commissioners etc. CBS, FOX and NBC need to get involved.

Probably going to get my wish Disney hammered ESPN a couple months ago with huge layoffs. Disney isn't interested in ESPN's obsession in dominating College Football. Disney is tired of ESPN losing money. Hopefully this opens the door for other networks getting involved. You do make a good point TUME about the overlap of games.

GO TU!!!

I hate all the weekday afternoon bowls. I can't believe the ratings are as good as evening & weekend games. Even if they are, those of us who work the last 2 weeks of the year now miss a lot of bowl games.
