Tulsa will play ECU at 6pm. It's on ESPN+ and of course 93.5 FM the Jet on Iheartradioapp.

With the men's game happening at 7pm I will do the first half and then use the great replay feature on ESPN+ to finish, as always with spoilers should they be necessary.

Tulsa's fourth quarters have been rough lately and have rendered the need for spoiler warnings obsolete. The Mayberrys continue to play well, but Tulsa has struggled to shoot in the 4Q while for the most part playing solid defense. Bittle has been coming on strong and has found a nice role on the bench. Tulsa's freshman not named Mayberry, Evan's played a damn good game against Tulane.

Houston crushed Temple securing their place as a top four team with USF, UCF, and Tulane who are all looking like they will be NCAA teams.

Temple, Tulsa, and ECU look to be a step below that top four, so this game at home is important. Tulsa will have three winnable games starting tonight, so it's doubly important they defend home court tonight.

Rebounding and getting those paint points will be big as Tulsa has shown strength on the perimeter and on defense, often having a low turnover number even with a freshman point. Those inside scores or transition lay ups (which Tulsa has done well at minus 4th quarters) make the outside scoring easier and break up droughts.

Evans takes a starting line up spot. She last started versus OSU. More of an offensive threat than our Icelandic forward (whose name I will be putting in my predictive text) but she is a stretch not a true post.

Both teams force turnovers and are usually bad rebounders. Could be an up and down game.

Evan's is a rebounding machine right now. Tulsa playing a little to hectic, need to calm down and settle in.

1Q 6:41
ECU 6
Tulsa 4

Evans ballin right now, rebounding, making solid passes, following her shot, being active on the wing in the zone to counter ECU's height. Lewis her front court partner in crime is putting in work, getting some o-rebounds, playing great defense and has a couple baskets. 4-0 mini run for Tulsa to get the lead. 2 minute drought for ECU

1Q 5:35
ECU 6
Tulsa 8

Wyvette doing her best Elijah Joiner impersonation, she needs to attack, instead she is pausing after pushing against the pressure on a trap near the half court line and has got herself in trouble a couple times. Now Mia just making simple mistakes. Letting ECU back in to the game and to take the lead. Lascay showing grit and leadership get TU a tough basket.

1Q 3:03
ECU 12
Tulsa 11

Wyvette having some struggles. Looks a bit frustrated turns up her defense, gets a still and forces the foul. Game is up and down. If Tulsa will settle in they should be able to take control of the game. Bittle first sub off the bench but not till just 2 mins left. Tulsa looks better as the quarter ended against ECU's pressure which has been speeding them up. Evans is the only player on TU who seems to follow her own shot and it pays off. Evans and Lewis have carried the team the first quarter with the Mayberrys struggling. Slow down a little bit, be secure with the ball and Tulsa should be much better on offense. Rebounding has been strong.

2Q 10:00
ECU 14
Tulsa 16

Tulsa struggles on offense. Not sure about some of Mossman's rotations. There are couple players who should probably not be seeing court time and it's very sporty for everyone. Tulsa still in front of a bumpy jerky game

2Q 5:22
ECU 20
Tulsa 21

Tulsa has stopped attacking the basket and the offense has gone dead versus a 3-2 zone. Haven't been pressed lately or been able to get into transition and the scoring drought showed up right around 4 mins. Evans is back in the game and she is attacking the boards.

ECU coach changing what the offense and defense is doing after time outs. That is keeping Tulsa offbalance. Exchanging some free throws and threes out of the time out. Tulsa getting some paint touches and it is helping. ECU doing the same. Both offenses look a lot better, ball moving and attacking basket from Tulsa. Need to get defense back on point being a little slack and ECU hitting shots.

2Q 2:05
ECU 32
Tulsa 33

Tulsa is getting scrappy now, also forcing the ball inside and Mossman got on Evans a bit at the end of the half because she stopped attacking the inside and settling for shots. The Mayberrys aren't having their best game but lots of people are stepping up and contributing to get through. Need to keep rebounding and get defense and offense going on at the same time.

Why isn’t Biddle playing?
Its Bittle I mispelled her name for an entire game and I actually know that because I thought her first game was with a dd but it's too tt.

Last game Evans, Lewis and our Icelandic forward had a great first half. She came in right away when we struggled in the second half. She played well and help us keep it competitive till a disastrous 4th.

This game not sure why Mossman went so long, she came in and played well in the second. So did KK Rodriguez, along with our Icelandic forward, I would restrict our rotation to those three with our starting five. Not sure anyone else really has contributed very much. We have a couple others who get some minutes that seem to hurt our flow.

We need to control the ball and not make silly turnovers ECU has a lot of lay ups off those. Continue to rebound and keep attacking and moving the ball on offense. If Tulsa can get control it will probably be able to run off and hide going into the fourth.

I am off to the men's, I'll be back to do the second half after the mens and maybe a break. Don't want to overdose on Tulsa, but if that's how I go it won't be a bad way to finish it and I'll probably be happy, or hating the coogs, which to me is the same thing.
