ECU at Tulsa game thread.

Haven't seen us overplay on the perimeter like this in a long time. Maybe it means with don't respect their guards but it makes things more fun to watch.

Some parts of Scott’s game I like. Bringing up the ball against pressure isn’t one of them.
He grabbed that simple rebound and promptly turned it over and gave up an uncontested layup. The other was bailed out because of a Jeffries block.

I see Jackson chasing Williams all over the floor. Is this a box and 1 we're seeing or straight man?

Scott may not dribble against pressure well but he can score

Not playing amazing but so much better than at any point during the Tulane game

Up 9 at the half is better than the last game. We’ve been trapping on defense much better than I’ve seen in the past.

Yeah I thought we played pretty well for us. Not happy with giving up stupid steals and offensive boards. Scott hits em when he’s open. ECU is slow. Barnes even played solid defense.

Wow, I didn’t realize Scott scored 17 in that first half. He also had 4 boards, if not for two turnovers he would be having a heck of a game.

Falokun did pretty good on D also in his limited minutes. Foree got in the box with an assist before he was pulled.

Jackson just looks so natural on the break
That play started with Korita’s defense. He just stayed smart and went straight up. More importantly, he didn’t get called for a foul which you frequently see when there is contact. Said contact was initiated by the offensive player as the replay, and even the ESPN guys noted, Korita went straight up. That’s really good officiating.

This game feels like we should be up 20 and Foree should be getting extended minutes but we keep making dumb mistakes like giving away rebounds or make stupid passes trying to force it into Igbanu.

It was great defense by Korita. He showed some hops we haven't seen

Glad Igbanu has a week to heal up when that swells up after the game.

Really good sharing of the ball today. Probably a lot of assists !

Probably a bad time to slow it down. Let em play coach.

If they're going to bring everybody out 40 feet from the basket to guard you and you don't try to make them pay for it you deserve to turn it over

Our turnover game has been in high gear. Other than that we’ve played a very good game.

59% shooting, 53% from 3. Scott wit 22, Igbanu with 19 and Horne with 17.

Remember Birt? Taplin is not one of our top 7 at the moment.

I have to say that even though the season hasn't turned out the way we hoped I still enjoy going to the games. I'm an alum who lives in Tulsa and I'm a season ticket holder in basketball and football. Always will be as long as I'm upright and drawing breath.

My hat is off to Sterling Taplin and Daquan Jeffries today. I hope they earn their degrees and get good jobs in the real world. Daquan has a fighting chance to play basketball for real money. Hope he sees Shaquille Harrison as inspiration for hard work and perseverance.

TU's basketball program needs to make some major improvements if they want to join the upper echelon of the American Conference. We all know that. But today I'll just say thanks to the seniors and the rest of the team. I've enjoyed watching you play this season.

Nope. If he is like most team athletes he would much rather win and have a poor game than lose and light it up.

I’m sure he is happy with win but sad to leave with a poor game. With his family here I wish he would have had a better game.
