Well, germany is just doing it wrong. They needed to give more of their money to the project and produce more land for more wind farms. Nuclear is scary, and needing 1/700th of the land needed to produce the same amount of energy is just silly. There's tons of space in germany. If me and AOC could run the project, we would defeat global warming by 2021.

I thought it was a sobering investigative report done by a respected German publication. One would think those supporting the Green Deal would have looked at what’s occurring in Germany and altered their plan to account for the current realities of our technologies.

It's a good business play. You have governments throwing billions of dollars into the industry without asking questions like "will this work....is the technology in place to do what we are promising, etc.." You know....the questions every business would ask before investing in technology. Governments...not so much. Leave it to business to take advantage.
