In the fourth round of the 2012 MLS Supplemental draft, the Chicago Fire selected University of Tulsa defender Justin Chavez.

Justin has been playing at defensive midfielder rather than center back as he did at TU.

The Fire have some interntional signings coming in for the back line, so I guess they are giving him a chance to earn a spot on the roster somewhere. Perhaps getting highlights of him to prep him for sale/trade.

I guess that's all you can ask for.

Keep forgetting to post that Chicago cut Chavez a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if he signed elsewhere. Anyone know?
