Won in OT at ISU, in a Wojcik loved score, 55-54. They're going to be very tough in conference.

They are good at getting open inside and rebound really well. Will be a tough matchup for us.

Always are. Really good win for the AAC though considering all the issues UCONN has had. I think I read that Iowa State had won 37 straight non-conference games at home.

So that's two B-12 top 25 teams that go down to the AAC, Lawpoke are you ready to change your tune?

About what?

Just messing with you Poke.

I think earlier this season you posted something like Temple wouldn't be able to compete with West Virginia, that they hadn't seen anything close to the kind of talent WV possessed , I don't complete remember what you posted, but I got a chuckle out of that when Temple got that win. I'll admit I am really surprised with Cincy going into Hilton and winning, that doesn't happen very often. Again just pulling your chain.

Competing in the AAC and the Big East has lead to some interesting results by the newer programs. It is becoming apparent and is what some of us have thought for 30 years, programs like Tulsa, Creighton, Xavier, Butler and Wichita State could and would have easily been able to compete in basketball in any major conference in the country with ease. The old conference affiliation for the above mentioned schools really screwed their seeds in the NCAA Tourney of the past.

How many non-conf. losses does Iowa State have at Hilton in the last ten years, I'm guessing not very many, congrats to Cincy good job.

The AAC is the best conference in basketball and football that Tulsa has ever had the pleasure of competing, a real change in fortune to compete at the highest level IMHO.

GO TU!!!!

Upset wins by Cinci and USF (who has already surpassed last year's OOC win total) bumped the conference back up to 7 on RPIforecast. Likely a 3-bid conference this year if I had to guess.

I don't recall saying anything about Temple and WVa but if I did I was obviously wrong. Temple has obviously been up and down as much as any team this season thus far. Losses to New Hampshire and UMass and wins against Fla St and WVa.....go figure.

I was really impressed with Cincy last night. Hilton is as tough of a place to play as anywhere in the country. Great win for them. They have to be the conference favorite at this point.

Tulsa is going to see pressure defense in 8 days. Being at home should help the younger players handle the same. Going to be interesting to see how we react.
