Cincinnati Game Thread

20-17 bad guys just inside 10 min left in half. We are playing okay but keep leaving their best outside shooter wide open in the corner. (I think it's just safe to say that about every single game)

We were shooting from good positions early but now we're becoming hesitant to shoot when we're open and dribbling into traffic.

I think the only way this Haith defense would work is with extremely quick & long armed defenders. There are always open 3s against us.

Haith and Co have found a major weakness in the Cincy 3 on transition... having Etou trail for 3s is killing their defense. Hope Etou can keep putting them in.

I am becoming more convinced we have a conditioning problem. Saw TK pulling his shirt asking for a breather only being in for 3 minutes or less.

Tulsa is playing well coached and composed like we haven't seen since the last Cincy game.

I don't disagree with a lack of conditioning, but it may be illness today. They said on pregame that Igbanu was battling a flu bug. He may not be the only one.

Washington is unstoppable in the paint...
37 - 28 Tulsa is letting it slip away in the final 2:30...

Down 6 at the half but we may have momentum going into the second half.

Washington is a stud. Pisses me off more why we did not go after him with 4 fouls in tulsa. Just stupid

These refs have called way too many traveling calls. One difference in coaches: Haith yells at Tulsa players after our travel calls, Mighty Mouse (Cincy coach) yells at refs after their travel calls.

The trend has been to miss a few shots early in half 2 and then crash.

Hope that trend changes today. We did play the last minute better than usual.

Conditioning? No. You want players going 100% 3-4 minutes. For a big like Edogi there's nothing wrong with him asking to be pulled after that long, going that hard.

You can tell a lot about what teams think of you by matchups. Cincy has their best defender, #25, on Taplin. They know our offense is predicated off how he plays.

The collapse and lack of preparation by Haith should at least put him on the hot seat whether he comes back next year.

TU down by 14 and not playing smart at either end...
If this is not corrected soon, look for a blow out!
Cincy is controlling both ends of the court...

It is disappointing.

I can't remember the last time a Tulsa team lost this many games in a row and this many by double digits of 15 points or more.

This will need to be addressed in the off season.

The fat lady has sung and this is a blow out...
Haith has next year to correct this on the court...

Haith with a rare tech. Glad to see it. Will the team play with intensity until the end?

Cincy plays so physical and they get away with it at home. It's ridiculous how many forearm shoves, holds, etc. they get away with. In 1st half, the refs didn't call fouls. In the 2nd half, they have called all the fouls on us, and none on them. We have 10 fouls to their 2. Not saying we didn't lose this game ourselves, but good lord.

Haith needs to sit Birt and play the youngsters for next year...
This season is long over...
Play the youngsters and evaluate them for next year...

Pretty obvious we need more talent/athletic ability to compete with the top of this league....especially at the guard position. Say what you want about Hurtt and Juice but they could both compete athletically with any backcourt in this conference.

5 straight losses by an average of 20 points... unacceptable... I don't care how young the team it's.. it is obvious that we are not on par athletically with the elite of the conference.
