Having been a Massachusetts resident for the same duration as Charlie Bakers two terms as governor, I think he is a great hire for the NCAA. Being a Republican and getting elected twice in Massachusetts says something about his people and political skills. He is not easily provoked and demonstrates a practical approach to consensus building. I think he will see that the two issues fans at TU and other like minded schools get addressed. The Portal and NIL need to be reigned in and clearly defined if we have any semblance of competitive balance in college sports.
