This is almost as ridiculous as Hannity being the shadow advisor to the Whitehouse during Trump's administration. Debra Messing claiming she got Biden elected, and why even vote. Miss Messing has a convoluted ego, thinking she got Biden elected. If she had inserted the word 'helped' then maybe. They aren't doing anything other than make a laughingstock out of themselves and the Biden administration. They shouldn't have even had this call. A great number of people taking part in this call from the Whitehouse were wondering why this call was even happening. What a joke. The administration should have known better after watching some of the hijinks of the Trump regime. What's good for the black goose only makes the gander look silly.

People are wanting Biden to do something about it. What can you do, the decision has been made. There are three separate yet equal branches. You can't just executive order out of the situation.

Politicians seem to believe people really care what celebs say….or they just like to be buddies with them 🤷‍♂️

He could (theoretically) pull a Andrew Jackson and say “let them enforce their decisions then”… but that’s a terrible look.

The activist progressives would love that. It would have been window dressing and served no purpose. The DA's who have that power and can enforce it made those statements.(That's been the only solid defensive move the democrats have available to them other than skirting the branch of the supreme court by adding justices.)

The office of the President can and has been supportive of those statements. That serves the same purpose. It also does not give the GOP nearly as many weapons on the campaign trail in '24.

I agree. I was just saying that the president isn't without options from his executive power.

36 Republican senators voted against federal emergency aid to victims of hurricane Sandy, including Marco Rubio. With DiSantis asking Biden for max federal help (which he will get) it’s interesting to see how those Senators vote this time around.

I would hope any bill which only gets 30% of the $60B in “aid” to the victims during the first two years be voted down.

DiSantis also voted against Hurricane Sandy aid as a Congressman. Now asking for federal help at a level far above that provided to Sandy. Interesting to how votes go this time.
