Bryce Thompson’s Arky Visit

Have to think that KU and Arky are heavily in the mix. Okla State picked up a commit from the #69 ranked SG in the 2019 class today so I’m not sure what that does to their recruitment of Bryce. Still think TU is in the mix but KU would have to be that favorite at this point imo.

Unless they get hammered for their involvement in the adidas/FBI sting. There's some pretty damning info on Self knowing about payments to players to get them to KU. The adidas guy apologizing for not getting Ayton to KU is amazing. Seriously, Arizona, Louisville should get the death penalty (1 yr for AZ, 2 for 'Ville). KU should be looking at a 2 year postseason ban. OSU's in that mix too.

I'm convinced that blue bloods have become exempt from NCAA penalties...at least major ones. Hell.... UNC gave out grades for years on fake classes to keep it's athletes eligible. Yet the NCAA said that since ordinary students at times benefited from the scheme it wasn't athlete specific and thus not a violation. Anyone believe they would have found the same reasoning if North Texas had done such a scheme?

I know...BUT this one seems a little different because of the FBI involvement. The NCAA doesn't have subpoena power so it cannot compel individuals to testify and certainly can't do anything if a kid/staff member/etc. lie about what was going on. However, and a lawyer may correct me, is the case transcript available as a public record since it is not a sealed grand jury case? That may be all the evidence the NCAA needs to really lower the boom this time.

Kansas may get a slap, but apparently they think things got more serious as they have decided not to play de Sousa because of "eligibility questions". I think Louisville gets hammered on this one on the heels of Hooker-gate.

Bryce and his family were in Stillwater this past weekend for Homecoming and Hoops fwiw.
