Everything is looking up for Bryce Bray. And that should be a big boost to the Tulsa offensive line in 2023. The 6-foot-5, 306-pound Bray is a sixth-year senior from Bixby with basically two full years of college playing experience as a starter, first for OSU in 2019, then for TU in 2021. Missing 2022 due to academics was a tough one for Bray to accept, but he made sure that wouldn't happen again.

I'm so glad Bray graduated and got his degree. Will be good to see him on the field again.
You have to wonder how bad the academic side of things got under Monty that kids like Bray and Watkins, much needed contributors, were allowed to slide on their academics to the point of not being eligible when it is clear they were intellectually capable of completing the work in front of them but didn't. Usually coaches and academic support staff are all over things like this. Sucks for him and Watkins that they had to sit out a year and delay receiving degrees/degree progress b/c the last staff didn't appear to care about that side of their lives.

We were bottom 5 in APR. From what I understand, this was a HUGE reason Phil is gone.

I am so happy he is doing so well, loved watching him here at OSU......my thought has always been ..." once a Cowboy, always a Cowboy"....unless they transfer to OU, then screw 'um.......but I love seeing these guys do well for you guys........I will always root for them ( with that one exception) .........

Maybe this is why Monty is gone and Wilson is here now. Anyone have any data on what the Fall 2022 semester was? Could be a very telling stat.

You can tell a lot about a person by how they deal with adversity. I'm sure Bryce isn't proud he let this situation happen but he should be proud of how he handled it. If I were interviewing him, this would make me more likely to hire him, not less.

I too wonder what the GPA was for the Fall of '22, and though KW arrived after the start of the spring semester, I'm sure he pulled those early semester records andfirmly and clearly defined his expectations and desired outcomes regarding the classroom or it wouldn't have been 2.92. Glad he chose to instill accountability immediately and didn't write off the semester. Clearly he's been truly inspiring, , since his arrival. Likely Fall of '22 would both shock and affirm suspicions.
