Watching the coaches forum online. Some observations:

1) Mick Cronyn sounds like Bob Stoops if you're just listening to the audio portion
2) Mick Cronyn's voice is much different than I imagined if you just look at him...I always imagined he sounded like the Lucky Charms Leprechaun
3) Josh Pastner is Ronald McDonald without the makeup...seriously what a clown. They asked him a question about the proposal to move the season to just the Spring semester instead of overlapping 2. Pastner could not forma coherent thought or argument on it
4) Anyone else watching wondering if Kelvin Sampson is drunk
5) Larry Brown says he prefers coaching in practices than he does games. Well this year his wish comes true!

And there's a lot of grumbling about the way the game is being officiated these days. Lebo from ECU said he had a scrimmage early on and 69 fouls were called. All in contrast to the NCAA wanting to shift the game to a more offensive style game with more points and all the coaches think the way to do that is by calling fewer fouls.

Memphis should send an assistant coach in Pastner's place. He needs to take a public speaking course...it's painful to listen to him speak. Um, uh, um, uh. He's like an embarrassed 15 year old boy trying to ask the head cheerleader out on a date

They also mentioned some rule changes, I didn't realize they were all being implemented:

1. 30 sec shot clock
2. 4 foot restricted area
3. No more 5 sec call on ball handler
4. Post players allowed to put forearm on back of ballhandler when his back is to the basket.
5. Coaches can not call timeout from sideline during live ball (only players can).

#4 might help Wright stay in the game a few minutes longer this season.

There's a nuance to the forearm in the back. You still can't use it to leverage the player. They're just not supposed to call the touch fouls anymore like they had been doing. Dre's issue isn't touching the guy, it's flat out putting the arm in the back and shoving.
