They did move away from the triple option last year at least.
Inconsistent QB play to be exact. There were times Williams looked great and times that left you wondering "WTF?"
He played like a freshman. Good at home...bad on the road. Almost like our basketball team right now #commonsense
If the QB competition ends up being between just Francis and Williams, I don't expect us to win many games, even with a relatively cupcake schedule.

We certainly won't win many with the two of them, not without Monty.
i have high hopes for carpenter....i think he'll have a say in this before it's over....jmho....

I expect the conference to be more difficult than many expect. UTSA, USF, UAB and even Army may be strong opponents for a very different reasons. UTSA will be pre-season conference ranked in the top 3. UAB and USF appear to be building a good base. Army will be disciplined and won’t quit. Don’t sleep on ECU. Coach Houston is a very good coach winning a FCS championship at JMU. He is coaching for his job this season.
Can we have a very good season this year(?) - absolutely; just don’t expect we will have an easy run because of the name on the opponents jersey.

I wouldn't count out the FR from Ohio. That kid has definite P5 talent and I wouldn't be surprised if he wins the job out of camp.
